Exploring Jharkhand: Dassam falls
The Dassam
Falls is 40 kilometres (25 mi) from Ranchi on NH 33 or Ranchi-Jamshedpur
highway. The location is surrounded by lush vegetation, making it the perfect
picnic location in the neighbourhood. You'll need to ascend a flight of stairs
to get there. You can also pause in between to take in the stunning
surroundings.
A lovely
and serene location with water present year-round, suitable for family picnics,
a no-plastic zone, and several stalls offering light refreshments. As an added
attraction, there is a tiny children's park. Well-maintained with parking space
and restrooms are present. The natural beauty along the route from the local
cities to the Falls is a breathtaking sight to see. The visit is nevertheless
worthwhile even though entry is only available halfway down. A fantastic
excursion to experience nature that is Nowhere near a crowded mall.
There are a
few things to keep in mind while exploring Dassam Fall, such as keeping your
personal belongings safe, avoiding deep water because the rocks are slippery,
and always keeping an eye on children. If you don't know how to swim, don't
even try it. If you do, keep away from deep water as numerous accidents have
happened there in the past. Try to arrive as early as you can to appreciate the
scenery and capture wonderful shots before it gets busy. The 700 steps that
make up the descent are quite slippery when it rains, so use caution when using
the stairs.
